Starting

In the barren wastelands of Eshkar, warlords and clans rule with iron fists—some literal, some figurative. Zayne is the last surviving member of the Ember Fist clan, whose warriors were renowned for their deadly unarmed combat techniques. His right arm is encased in an unremovable iron gauntlet, a symbol of shame for his people, who were betrayed and massacred during the war for Eshkar’s throne.

Forced to live as a wandering fighter, Zayne takes on dangerous jobs in exchange for information about the clan that orchestrated his family’s downfall. When a dying elder reveals that the gauntlet is tied to a forgotten prophecy about the “Iron God,” Zayne sets off on a journey to uncover the truth of his lineage—and his destiny.

Mid

Zayne’s quest leads him to unexpected allies and formidable enemies:

• Kira, a fiery swordswoman seeking vengeance for her own clan’s destruction. Her no-nonsense demeanor clashes with Zayne’s stubbornness, but their shared pain creates a bond.
• Orik, a drunken brawler who claims to know the secrets of the Iron God. Beneath his carefree exterior lies a tragic story of betrayal.
• Lys, a wandering monk who seems to appear whenever Zayne is in trouble. Her knowledge of ancient texts suggests she knows more about the gauntlet than she lets on.

Together, they travel across Eshkar, facing rival clans, cursed relics, and trials that test their loyalty to one another. Along the way, Zayne learns to harness the gauntlet’s power, which grants him unparalleled strength but drains his life force with each use.

Suspense

The group discovers that the Iron God was a warrior-king who once ruled Eshkar with an iron gauntlet similar to Zayne’s. The gauntlet is revealed to be a fragment of an ancient weapon designed to channel the user’s soul into raw energy. The more Zayne uses it, the closer he comes to losing his humanity.

As they approach the Iron God’s tomb, they are pursued by the Obsidian Fangs, a deadly clan hired to eliminate Zayne before he can uncover the truth. The group’s unity begins to crumble under the weight of secrets: Orik’s connection to the gauntlet’s creators, Kira’s hidden motives, and Lys’s mysterious disappearances cast doubt on their mission.

Climax

The final showdown takes place in the ruins of the Iron God’s temple, where Zayne confronts the truth: the gauntlet was forged to imprison the soul of its wearer, turning them into a weapon of destruction. The ghost of the Iron God offers Zayne a choice: embrace the gauntlet’s full power and conquer Eshkar, or destroy it and sacrifice himself.

In a desperate battle against the Obsidian Fangs, Zayne chooses to destroy the gauntlet, shattering the cycle of destruction that has plagued his land. The explosion obliterates the temple, and Zayne’s fate is left ambiguous, with only echoes of his name whispered across Eshkar as a symbol of hope.
